Chaver

President Clinton’s reaction to the death of Israeii Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin:

“Shalom Chaver” (Good bye my friend)

Chaver is reserved for people who have a special connection with others. It is a term widely used by people or volunteers with Jewish non-profit organizations.

As described by Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi:

“The word in Hebrew “chaver”, meaning “friend”, has the same root as the Hebrew word “chibur” meaning connection”.

Friendship is the bond of loyalty. You will always be by each other’s side, willing to do whatever you can for each other.

At Temple B’nai Hayim in association with Congregation Beth Meier, our congregation is spiritually bound and loyal to one another.  Regardless of age, ethnicity, race or sexual orientation WE ARE FAMILY.

We invite you to learn about us.
