About Us
Temple B’nai Hayim in association with Congregation Beth Meier.
In 2017, two conservative Jewish temples, Temple B’nai Hayim and Congregation Beth Meier, with distinguished histories of inspiring and embracing meaningful traditional Jewish lives, values, service, justice, truth and the importance of Torah, became one. Our synagogue is now located in Sherman Oaks:
4302 Van Nuys Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
It is our collective experiences and dedication which will now enable us to expand our mission to other Jewish communities in the greater Los Angeles area.
Our Mission
We nurture personal and spiritual connections and growth by embracing our inspiring Jewish culture and heritage.
Torah: The collective wisdom of the Jewish people. We explore every dimension of our Tradition to become what God meant us to be.
Service: To God, to each other and to all fellow creatures.
Kindness: Being a loving presence, supporting each other when we rise and fall.
Truth: All that is true in our Tradition, our culture, the sciences, the self and the greater good.
Justice: We pursue in our personal behavior, in our community and in the larger world.
Peace: We seek peace within in our families, our communities and the world in which we live.
These are the pillars that guide us.
